Jessica Alba nearly gave up acting after motherhood because of pressure to be a hot-looking airhead. The director of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer was particularly troubled by her acting skills. During her death scene in the film, he apparently told her, “It looks too real. It looks too painful. Can you be prettier when you cry? Cry pretty, Jessica…” Someone get this woman a different agent?
