Amazon Pulls the Plug on The Pedophile’s Guide to Love and Pleasure

In case you haven’t been keeping up, a self-published book called The Pedophile’s Guide to Love and Pleasure: A Child-Lover’s Code of Conduct has been available since October 28 as a Kindle download on Amazon. Written by Phillip R. Greaves II and priced at $4.79, the book:

… is my attempt to make pedophile situations safer for those juveniles that find themselves involved in them, by establishing certian rules for these adults to follow. I hope to achieve this by appealing to the better nature of pedosexuals, with hope that their doing so will result in less hatred and perhaps liter sentences should they ever be caught.

Yeah.

And, according to someone who actually read it, “it IS a how to, and a how-to-not-get-caught,” guide, and, in it, “the plight of p*dophiles is compared to the plight of the Jews during World War II.” Unsurprisingly, people haven’t been too thrilled about this book, flooding its comments page with one-star “reviews” and demands that Amazon remove it. The e-retailer stuck to its guns, however, saying in a statement, “it is censorship not to sell certain books simply because we or others believe their message is objectionable.” But there must have been some late-night coming-to-senses at Amazon HQ, because as of this morning, the book is no longer available.
