Men ‘Disposable’

Nice! We already knew that women live longer because their cells regenerate faster, but new, sciencey ways of saying that women are superior to men are always welcome. A new study tells us that women live longer than men because our bodies are “better at carrying out routine maintenance.” This article also contains the saddest description of death I’ve read in awhile.

Many scientists believe that the aging process is caused by tiny faults throughout our body. As the tiny faults build up the length of our lives is determined by how quickly our body is able to carry out running repairs. As the cells miss opportunities to repair themselves our body gradually degrades until we eventually die.
