Margaret Thatcher in Hospital, Currently in “Chirpy” Condition

Remember how Margaret Thatcher was having that blowout birthday bonanza (relatively speaking) in honor of her 85th birthday? Sadly, it turns out the former prime minister had the flu and couldn’t attend the party, a 150-guest reception held at Prime Minister David Cameron’s house, i.e. Thatcher’s former house. The party went on without her, but now Thatcher has been hospitalized for “precautionary tests” following her illness. Her son reports that she is currently in a “good, chirpy” state and “well enough to be discussing the current prime minister’s spending cuts.” (Hire this woman!) I will put aside my political qualms with Marge to say, Get well soon!
